C C Johnson ariticle and rifles.

The articles on Charles C. Johnson and some of his rifles are greatly appreciated.  It is an honor to know that nearly thirty years after his passing his work is still appreciated and used.  The thread regarding .22 centerfire cast bullet shooting is intriguing as I have a Highwall that CCJ converted to R2 Lovell that would make a great test bench for researching this concept. With my finances what they are it is the only way for me to shoot centerfire at Etna Green for the forseeable future.

I am working on sorting the job cards from C C Johnson's shop.  They are separated by year (mostly) and I am occasionally able to take a few minutes and start to take each year and put the cards in numerical order.   When I get that done, it will be easier to find individual records.

I've only been a member of ASSRA for two years and shot at Etna Green only a handful of times, but have enjoyed it greatly.

Respectfully,

Jerry C Johnson

Jerry;
Thank you for your kind words. If truth be known, it is I who appreciated the opportunity to work with you on the story.  This bit of history needed to be recorded.

I would love to have an 8 1/2 by 11 print of the shop photo on page 12. I have a great fondness for old flat belt machinery, my cellar is full of it. My Amish neighbor asked that I not read my mail in the middle of the road, upsets the horse. I was drooling all over the front cover. A great article on CC. I think my Hornet has put me out of groundhogs so I'll have to start thinking about shooting some paper. Thank you two gentlemen.
