    You know, .   .   .   .   TrapDoorDick has a point !

We have 30 inches of snow on the ground and another 16 to 20 inches expect Tuesday P.M. into Wednesday.

I was going to try Route 50 South, but maybe I-80 would be better.

Would a one week postponement be indicated in view of the weather ?

The weather-guessers are predicting 2-4" for us TUESDAY (tomorrow) and partly cloudy after that.

BUT, a snow date would be a good idea.

I'll be coming up from Pulaski as planned.

MerwinBray, Jon, what is the weather forcast for your area Thursday and Fri?  The only thing I've been able to get tonight from the Weather ISP is that DC is going to get snow on Wed but it doesn't even say how much.

Guys,

Unfortuneatly I would not be able to do it the following weekend. However; Fortunelatly, the weather looks like it is supposed to be clear and sunny by the weekend with the second storm hitting Tue-Wed. SHould be time for the roads to be cleared, At least I hope.

If any one can't make it I certainly understand, I have 32 inches in my front yard as we speak, calling for another 5 to 10 by Wed.

I will be there on Sat! Above all, please be safe!! If you are at all concerned then follow your judegment. Just because it is supposed to be sunny here doesn't mean it wil be where ever you may be coming from.

For me....I have cabin fever and NEED to get out and talk turkey!!

Hope to see at least some of ya!

Jon

I guess I'm going to have to ask the Jeep to do what it was born and raised to do  !    Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

But only after giving it what it likes best, . . . .a big drink of Shell High Test  100 % without alcohol in it.  Here in Pennsylvania is the only place that allows 100 %,. . .  instead of the 90%, watered down with 10% alcohol that they sell in Maryland and Virginia.

I just had nearly $2000 dollars worth of transmission work done to my 4X4 Blazer, and Martin has a front wheel drive Pontiac van that will go just about anywhere.  We will most probably be there short of yet another blizzard this week!

Hey Froggie .  .   .   . the $2 K hit on the tranny was not good news for you, I'm certain of that !

I always equate that sort of news with " do I need a new transmission, or would I rather have another CPA ( not the engraved variety ) ?

Some how walking to the next schuetzen match carrying the new CPA/Stevens doesn't have much appeal, either !     Grin

Hoping that the roads are clear by weekend. Took several days to get out to main road after last storm. See ya this weekend. JD

One good thing about the weekend's plans is that both the Nation's Gun Show and the Gathering are held at venues that are on pretty major thoroughfares.  If anything up that way is clear, then the roads we will need there will probably be clear.

Yeah the hit to the old checkbook for that tranny was not a thing I would have chosen for myself, but the old Blazer has over 200k miles on it and I have owned it since new, so I hope I can keep on driving it for enough longer to make the repair worthwhile.  It will go to just about any place I want to try and go for shooting and other gun-related activities, so there you go!

BTW,  Jon, have we thought any more about air guns on the stage as a sort of poor folks zimmerstutsen?

Come on Froggie. I'm good, but not THAT good. I happen to include a pix of a Greener Martini I'm building in one of my TD pictures and of course someone congratulated me for making a TD look like that. So, can I bring SS's other than TD's or have I been restricted? Roll Eyes Wink Smiley

I'm probably going to make my motel resv. tomorrow. See you all soon.

I just wanted to let anyone who is interested know that I just checked the Nations Gunshow website and they are full steam ahead for their show this weekend.

I am going to check on the parking and sidewalk conditions at our venue in New Market. I will update later and let you all know.

Weather is looking OK here in Pulaski.  My rib and I will be there Saturday.  Looking forward to seeing all the toys!  Will bring tin.
