Satisfactory, but not 100 % a High Wall. I put the stock from a Winder on it. That crescent buttplate was hard on the shoulder.

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the responses. Guess I'll have to keep my eyes open and see if something comes along. Over the course ot the years, I've had a High Wall in .219 Donaldson Wasp, and three No.1's (a 1V in 7mm Remington Magnum, and two 7mm Mausers - an A and an RSI) Will not buy a new production No. 1 - they ain't the same.

On a whim, I bought one and it is a very accurate rifle. Haven't shot it passed 200 yds, but it "hoovers" at a MOA rifle.

I'm looking for a load using lead bullets any reccomendations?

By no means am I arguing with you but I have about 15 Ruger #1's in variouse configurations .

Anyway a month ago I got one of the just released Ruger #1B's in 264 WIN MAG . That thing is a tack driver ! I've already shot groups at 100 yards from the bench down in the .3's .
