Meunier rifle.

Looking for better pictures of the Meunier muzzleloading schuetezen that won first prize at the Centennial Exposition of 1876. Pictured on page 275 of Robert's book, The Muzzleloading Caplock Rifle. Thanks.

see:  The American Percussion Schuetzen Rifle  Hamilton and Rowe.  There is a whole section on him and 4 pages on that specific rifle in very high quality large format color photos. There is no overall, full length photo (they are notoriously difficult to show in high quality publication) but the stocked area (rear 2/3 approximately) is shown in detail.

It may still be available directly from the authors.  I got my copy some years back from Track of The Wolf but you might find a used copy on Amazon.   The ASSRA Archives might have a loan copy

That is the best deal I've seen. TotW wants $89.95 and then charge for shipping. This one's free shipping!

It's FULL of eye candy, if thin on technical information. I am going to have to buy one so I can return the one Joe loaned me!
