Saw this one at a show last month and thought of you, Joe. A $6 tube from Tampa Bay, Florida.

Two pound chunk of jasper agate.  Took a shooting buddy out this morning where I look for rocks. Only a few miles from the house. I'd rather be shooting in a match but this will do for now.

Thanks.

We took my Jeep up to the spot.  While explaining to Bob what to look for, looked down and spotted this nice piece of petrified wood at my feet.  Thought it was brown agate till I got it home and took a close look. Might have to look again at some other similar pieces.  Loving Idaho I can tell you that!

Idaho is the greatest for sure Joe.  With all the free material free for the picking, how about becoming the matches prizemaster?  Cheesy

Rocks are free most everywhere, Bob. Idaho has some nice ones.  Like this sixty pound chunk of green jasper mixed with brown agate.  Now, a saw.

That should be a beauty! We had lots of gold and silver too, Joe.  You could be standing on a gold mine and not even know it  Grin

I could stand some gold.  Now what did I do with those Xray glasses?

About twenty five miles West of here there is a gold mine. They cut the mountain in half.
