The above 38 caliber bullet, is now in it's "Last Call" on the NOE forum. I don't know when it will get on the mill but, it won't be to long. You still have time to sign up.

If you need a 38 mold, for a 16 or faster twist, you need to get signed up. Once it starts to be made, you will not get it at discounted price.

Frank I just sent them an email telling them I wanted a 2 cavity Al mold.  I tried to order off the link,  I know I have an account because I HAVE purchased a mould previously, and tried to order another that was a out-of- stock special and got put on a someday maybe list.  I wish their system was not so complex.

So who is actually making these Moulds ELCO Machine in Oregon or NOE or is ELCO just trying to get undue recognition from Tom's bullet design software when NOE also has the same. Rumor has it ELCO is getting one free mould for every ten group buy sold anyone know if there is any truth to that? Sounds like a pretty nice Gig if its really so.

I don't know who is making them, but I do know two things:

a) they are GOOD moulds! Worth putting up with:

b) dealing with them by trying to log in, remembering 'username' is like to impossible.

Wayne & Cat,
I don't have any problem getting on the site. I use the same name I have here and same password. I do that on a lot of sites so that I can remember how to enter them. Many of our forum guys use their same names as here.

If you can't find a way, call Al and ask him. He always answers the phone and is happy to help.

This is the number:

(801) 377 7289

JL,
The tone of your post, is the reason that we have problems with each other. You can find the answers to your questions by calling the above number. I won't be baited into another "friendly" conversation with you. And will do my best to egnore your baiting, from now on.

So, if you ask me questions or infer things about me, don't expect a answer from me.

I did finally get through.  Would have helped to have a link with email and username as well as email and password (for recalling when one forgets).

I have more than 60 sites that require passwords.  It gets to be a bit of a pain....

Frank , I find John's post is not baiting to you.  Just a simple question and John is not the first or only one to ask a simple question on the forum.  You seem to have the best knowledge of NOE's operations

John Boy,
You don't think this is baiting me?

NOE rules for group buys are the same for everyone, I have NO special relationship with NOE. I've sold a lot of molds for NOE but, I do it for our sport, to help people and try to insure that if you start into this sport, that you can find a resonable priced mold. The ONE bullet that I designed for my 30 cal rifle, I could not even get 10 people to go with it. So, I'm left with old Ron Long molds to shoot. (yea, I know, poor me)

I might add, that it not the easiest thing to sell a group buy. This one has taken a great deal of time and I do not, even have a 38 cal rifle. I did it for our Aussie friends.

The molds that I design are to my own taste and research, in what works, mostly in the design criteria of what Ron Long and Paul Jones used for their molds. I have design flat nosed bullet molds, when requested by people that have come to me. I do ALL my design work, free of charge! I've designed multiple bullets for at least one person on this forum w/o charging anything.

Rumor's are rumor's SO, I would suggest that any interested party, call Al at NOE and end any speculation that's out there.

I FINALLY got in and on and ordered,  but the process is awkward to say the least. I don't see why their "store" site, and the forums (where we also order the group buy molds) are separate functions with separate P-words etc.
The main-pain with all the multiplicity of sites is when you have forgotten your P-word;  the only option is to create yet another new one to forget if you only use it to order something a couple time a year-----this goes for a lot of sites
I wish that they could offer some sort of P-word reminder---perhaps with a couple "secret questions" rather than only having the option of creating a new one.

Frank,

I'm on the list for one of the .376" bullets - do I also have to contact NOE and make sure I'm on their list?

Thanks for your considerable time and effort to arrange for this bullet to be produced!

Ooooops! Ok, just looked at the link and I see that I'm on the list that NOE has - I musta contacted them or you forwarded the info. Danged old-man's memory (or lack thereof) of mine - sheesh!

Yes, you have to sign up at the NOE forum, to be on the list that gets you the discounted price. You also have to have that sign up to order at the NOE store. But, you only need to sign up once.

You will get a notice that the mold is ready and a discount code to order at the NOE store, by Email.

This is the forum site:

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Sign up and go to the Last Call section, to get on the list.

this is the NOE store site:

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

Go to it, after getting the notification, to place your order.

I'm sure that it will be interesting to look around the site and see what's available, before that.

Thank you,

Frank

My two NOE molds shoot very well. I spaced out and got a 4 cavity aluminum one in 25 cal off of one of the group buys.  Casts and shoots very well but I can hardly swing the spruce plate when filling all 4 cavities.  I just skip the one farthest out and all is well. I would get a 1 or 2 cavity in the future.

I have one in AL in 4 cavities - 288-132 - it takes a while but when it's WARM the sprues cut easily - just a matter of watching the critical point of the puddle freezing.

Can anyone comment as to the production/shipping status on this mold?

Maybe I screwed up, I've not heard anything, or maybe I'm just to anxious to get my hands on this new mold.

Are they shipping these yet?

Thanks, Bruce P.

Go on NOE's web site. The bullet is there. I just got an email that mine was shipped.
What others have said, Frank, thanks for all your efforts. Certainly appreciated by me. Smiley

You are all welcome.

I try to do what I can for our sport.

I wish I had a rifle for this bullet. I hope anyone that ordered this mold, will report how it works in their rifle.

Frank, I got an email and PM from Swede last week telling me I can order my mold now. I didn't realize I was on a list for the bullet so have not been reading about it here. So I decided to go ahead and buy one. Trouble is I only have a HS edjumacation and got all confused about how to buy a mold from NOE. So my question is, how I do it? Is a phone call the best way? Does he answer the phone?

Joe,
You should have been sent a Email with a code to order and get a discount. You should also have a PM on the NOE Forum, with the code. If you have the code, go to the NOE store:

(You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)

And order it. If you don't have the code, call NOE, Al almost always nswers the phone.
