Side Plate Stevens

Saw a half way decent side plate .22 Stevens at the local gun shop. Was tagged as a "crackshot"(!) and priced at $500 something. Was on consignment so they couldn't change the tag. Last one they had was only $195 or so. Maybe should have bought that one.

So, if you didn't think it was worth $500, had it been dug out of the ground?

Externally the metal and wood looked great but the bore was badly pitted.

Well, is it still available?  I'd pay $500 regardless of the bore.
