slow forum (again)

It still takes from 15-30 seconds for something to come up after I click on it. It's only on this forum that it's so slow. It's happened in the past but has speeded up after a few days. I'm getting a permanent kink in my beard from resting my chin on my hand waiting for things to happen. The rest of the internet connections seem fine. Is there something on my Forum connection I can fix? It's driving me nuts. Or more nuts than I already am.

Should I try to connect with YABB to maybe see if I can figure out the problem? All this is hard to do when I can't speak the computer language. Maybe I'll just learn to live with it.

JS,

At the very bottom of each page, there is a line in a very small type, which says "Page completed in X seconds" this is how long the server takes to generate the page and start sending it your way.

Could you please post what that line says on the bottom of your pages?

JS47, Mine says 1.5.  In the meantime, when this happened to me or in the old days of dial up modems, I would have several tabs open on the site or various sites. I would look at one while another was loading.

The only thing I have running, at least as far as I know, is the forum. The page completed thing runs between 11 and 13 seconds. It just seems like the 15-30 seconds I mentioned earlier.

I'm in Anchorage and the forum is working fine using the same laptop. It looks like I have some problem with the provider at home.
