Here in the swamp state of Florida, we passed a bill to make daylight savings time permanent.
Clearly enacted so that all the old farts like myself won't have to continually reset their car clocks.
Will also give those who opted for solar panels another hour of daylight Grin

Me thinks this Rebel character from down in Swamp Country.......

up to my neck in alligators in the swamps of Daytona beach.
Wait, those aren't alligators, they're lovely college girls in bikinis on spring break. I must be in the wrong place.
All those bikers must be mixed up too, quite a party on Beach Street.

really sucks to live in this swamp. The top is down on the 450sl, guess I'll take Rebel and go to the beach.

Who's gonna tell the Sun about your permanent daylight savings time?     Grin

Sun doesn't need to know.  If the Libs believe that is all that is necessary for a successful program.  If enough believe in FL it will probably be expanded nation wide  Roll Eyes

When told the reason for Daylight Saving Time, a wise old Indian said, "Only the government would believe that you can cut a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it to the bottom, and get a longer blanket."

If we had a beach like that picture, we would want more daylight too  Roll Eyes

I have been wanting them to do this country wide for a long time. Maybe this is a start.

Wasn't that long back when we all went through the same and the intent was to save energy but it didn't quite pan out the way all of the shirts and ties had planned and it ended up just using more so it reverted back to the why it has always been in my time.

John,
I remember that too. Seem to recall that it ended up increasing a number of costs that those "experts" hadn't ever considered.

Why don't they simply move it halfway between and leave it there all year? Could a half hour really hurt either time?

That would mess up the calendar too bad. Most people would not know which day it is during the half hours of transition  Roll Eyes

Wouldn't that make those people politicians? Or would they have to not know for the whole day to really be politicians?
