No filler used.nor did I orient the powder when loading.i used cci large pistol magnum primers because I have lots if them

Another variant I have for light "Unique" load plinking is 45 colt pistol bullets such as the Lyman 454190 or the 454424.
They generally run up in the 0.457 or so as cast.
Shoot good unless you load them too heavy.

If you live near Southampton Pennsylvania use that load at Conestogas winter 50 foot gallery matches. Class for sub sonic CF single shots.

never tried squirrels with a 45-70 but i did shoot prairie dogs with a 40-65 in an old ballard,that was always fun.    tony <><
