.25 Stevens RF ammo can be made from .17 WSM rimfire.  It's a PITA but it can be done. This is thick brass; most boy's rifles will not fire it. My Model 44 has enough hammer energy that it will.  Also the Stevens Tip-Up.   Alternative is .25 cal Ramset charges with bullets breech seated.   I don't see any sort of adapter for "acorn primers" as being practical.

The .32 RF market is already well supplied.  See Gunbroker.

What might be worthwhile is the larger calibers; .38 and up.

There is a good article on how to make reloadable cases for old rimfires comming in the next Journal. Very informative and step by step. This article will help a lot.

I have an 1865 .58 caliber (rimfire) Springfield rifle, aka the 1st Allin Alteration. I have/use reloadable brass made by Bob Hayley in Texas.
