How about a little tutorial on how this target is used?  The CSV matches seem to have a lot of participation in the 100 yd bench rest rim fire event, so this new target may add to that.  How many shots in each group, and is each target stand alone, or is the score based on the cumulative group size?  I'm out of my realm here.  Huh

The target is primarily for a 5-5 shot match. The target in the upper left with the "S" is the sighter. You shoot a 5 shot group on each of the other five targets. The groups are each measured, added together, then divide by 5 for the average. Usually run as a feature match.

Thanks, Jefff. That certainly makes sense and I’m polling the CSV shooters today to see how many like the idea. We’ve always shot BR for score in the past here, but that event looks manageable.  Smiley

You could cut the target into three using the top for a sighter and bottom for a 5 or ten shot group. if you don't want to shoot five groups.

What's wrong with the present iron sight target?

Well, we did an experimental run with the “new” target this weekend. We declared the upper left and lower left bulls to both be sightseers and then did five shot groups on the other four.  The top two were added for one agg and the bottom two for a second agg.  Shooters got two events for the price of one.

We will discuss the event this Winter and try something with the target again in June.  Regardless, my folks like having an additional rim fire event available to them.

both are good.  Present one for score, new one for group.

I don't use either, ONLY because I shoot IRON sights and must use a target I can see.

I like it. I will see if the boyz want to shoot it at TRR.  Good match to go with the 6 bull score target.
