Hi Guys, looking for 43 Spanish brass. I checked with BA, Track of the wolf, Midway USA, you name it, I looked there. I'm trying to find out If Jamison still makes it. I think Bertrum is making some, but I've read the quality is suspect. Any help would be appreciated.

Ballards may be weaker,

Jamison has been out of business for a long time.

BACO has Bertram for the .43 Spanish.

Thanks Marlinguy. I spoke to Walter at BA this past week and ordered some .439 cal. bullets for the Spanish. He told me the Spanish brass was out of stock and that they make it from 50-110 brass now. He also said that the rim thickness and rim diameter were some what different, and some times ejection was a problem. I ask him to let me know when the brass was available.  Just looking for some now to get the roller up and running.

You might check Huntington Die Specialties. I bought a couple boxes from them a while back.

I've had good luck with that BELL brass like on Gunbroker. Are you sure that .439 bullets are going to be large enough for your rifle? My last Remington roller needed .446.

Thanks, BP. I've always just thought of them as Huntingtons. They are good folks. Sometimes they do list stuff they no longer have but are good about letting you know if it ever shows up again.

HDS is a great company to deal with. They will take backorders and respond when the items are in. I buy my Bertram Mauser 43 brass from them, and used to get Jamison brass (both the 43 Mauser and Spanish) from them. Long out of stock unfortunately. They have the best prices on Bertram brass, when it is in supply.

There was someone selling quite a bit of Jamison 43 Spanish brass in our sale section last summer. I bought 60, but have no idea if it sold out.

I ordered 44-90 Remington special 2 7/16 .513 head diameter for my mystery rolling block it was listed as 525 head dia. (My chamber is .532.) It was made from 50-110 . I ended up trimming and sizing them to make 43 Spanish dimensionality correct brass. At a little over $2 each they weren't inexpensive but use star-line parent brass. And less work than making from scrach.
Making the 44-90 Remington special 2.44 brass from 50 caliber wasn't fun.
