That's a mighty fine looking rifle!  I eat lots of large game animals every year but miss my favorite rabbit.  The extended drought has really raised cane with the population.  Tom

slightly off topic, but the most fun I have ever had with a rifle was a little browning semi auto take down with open sights in 22 short. Was set up on a rabbit warren just off the Darling Annabranch River in NSW Australia trying to shoot the rabbits as they popped up from the warren. never hit one  but it was a heck of a lot of fun!

So can relate to the pleasure of the the CB cap Low Wall

We have to hunt rabbit using shotguns here. Phooey!
But, I used my ol' .22 low wall to shoot (sometimes hitting) prairie dogs. Lotta fun. Not as fabulous as another poster's fabulous safari with his single shot at extended range.
By the by, that's a sweet looking rabbit and a damn nice Winchester. Thanks for the post.
