Lyman 103 Sight

After a message and a telephone conversation with a fellow Antipodean member (Spud) I went through the sight collection and turned this up. It has been modified and does fit a Win 1885, which given the history of HW competition use out here is South Australia, is probably not that unusual. Pictures for your interest.

That's a very nice sight, and one of the nicest base adapters I've ever seen! Looks like the sight's original spacing is Marlin at 1.125" spacing? Have you pulled it off and looked for the code on the base yet?

That's a slick adapter. Sure could have used similar a few times.

Yes it's a very interesting adaptation of the 103. Certainly a case of the boys out here working with what they had on hand.
