First experience with Harrells Schuetzen measure

All I can say is....WOW....
Repeatable, consistent throws.  I got tired of waiting for my chargemaster to settle down and its static issues.  Finally took the Harrells plunge and won't go back.

That's what I thought about my Lee powder measure when I first got it and I still think that way. The only powder I've used in it so far is 4227. It's calibrated so that when a charge is found it can be noted and repeated just by dialing it in on the tube. I was surprised that something so inexpensive works so well.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

One of the best powder measures ever built! (Harrells) I love mine, and the repeatable measurements it does! I keep extra hoppers for multiple powders and have the hoppers marked for my favorite charges in those powders. So I can pick up a hopper and put it on. Then dial in the number of clicks I listed, and begin dropping perfect charges. The extra hoppers have lids, so you can store powder in them, and not continually be dumping it back into the powder can if you label your hoppers.
Another plus is you can ask another Harrell's owner what his charge or click count if for a certain powder, then go home and dial it into yours and be exactly the same. Try that with any other powder measure.
I bought my hoppers from another source, as Harrells were more expensive, and the other source was $7 ea.

Just a note to update this. Harrells has lowered their price to $7 also, so they are as good a choice as anywhere else now. And no shipping charge when I made my last order of spare hoppers!

I had thought about that price mg when you mentioned it was more expensive, and free shipping, not bad. Someone might also look at the drop tubes to see if a spare or different sizes might be a good idea to have on hand.

I really like the Schetzen measure too. I doubt I'll get a roundtuit, but I've been wondering if it's worth figuring out converting their bigger measure to a brass hopper and  maybe indicator cap for BP. Have a great Easter folks.

I bought my Harrells from a friend's estate. It came with 4-5 spare drop tubes. Never used any of them so far, and not sure I'd ever buy a spare from my experience.

Great powder measures equaled by Harrell’s customer service.
