I have 4 BRC barrels that I finished from blanks and all are excellent quality and good shooters. I haven't had BRC do the octagon for me but I suspect the workmanship would be fine.

When I purchased my last barrel from them they would not do a full octagon, only a half.  That was about two years go. I shoot bpcr and they are an excellent barrel.  They clean up very nicely. Just a couple wet patches and a dry followed by an oiled patch.

I am not sure what Al's policy on full octagon barrels is now. I do know the BRC shop is very busy with both barrels and Ruger cylinders. I will ask Al the next time we talk about a full octagon barrel. Clay, the person who produces the barrels plus fitting, was gone for a bit and is back and the shop is back to normal.
BRC is getting a number of orders for the choked barrels. Below you will see few results from my testing plus the BRC Borchardt rifle used. Story striker 32-40 choked barrel used for first target. Four shots to warm up cold barrel then group #1 and group #2. Third ten and five shot groups also shot with 32-40 choked barrel. All barrels used are BRC choked octagon to round.

Nice looking Borchardt!

I have one of their .38 cal barrels (non-choked) in full octagon, but it wasn't profiled by BRC.

I checked with Al today and yes BRC will do full octagon barrels.
I regards to full octagon barrels and accuracy I see no issue with lack of accuracy. All barrels should be stress relieved after rifling and checked for run out. I stopped by the BRC shop today and Al and I talked about the new .338" choked barrel and how they were coming out. My first question was about run out. One of the most accurate barrels I have ever shot was a full octagon barrel I did.
