Need easy way to clean brass

Ok I have ordered some 210 grain bullets for my 40 twist 40-65 and have decided it is only right to shoot blackpowder in this 130 year old barrel.  I don't plan on shooting a lot of rounds as it is going to be a dedicated hunting rifle so will probably only designate 25 pieces of brass for the rifle.  What is the easiest way to clean the brass after shooting without going to the expense of steel pins, or is that the way to go.  I have an ancient Thumbler's Tumbler but very seldom use it and have corncob media in it now.  Thanks for your secret method!  Tom

Scrub out the inside of the case with one of the bristle brushes BACO sells for this purpose, do this in warm water as soon as possible after shooting. Dry the cases afterwards, either in a warm oven or in the sun. Anything else you choose to do with them will be purely cosmetic, like cleaning off any tarnish etc.

I use a Thumbler's Tumbler on black and smokeless cases. But I prefer the ceramic media. They come out looking better than new. Easy to do also.

I bought my ceramic media years ago from Dave Mauer. You want to buy ceramic that is sized for bottleneck cases so it won't get stuck in the cases.

I to used the baco brushes, but I cut the loop off handle
End and put in a cordless drill, faster. But having to do more cases than a couple got to be time consuming.
Went with tumbler and ceramic meadia and a cap full
Of dawn I like it much better.

Digitall, that's an offer I can't refuse.  Thanks.  If you find it fine and if not I will use the brush trick as 25 cases is not too many to deal with. Tom

I went to ceramic media and a wet tumbler about 5 years ago, and I'll never use anything else now. My media is larger than the SS pins that can get caught in the primer hole, or stuck crossways inside a small neck case. It does a fantastic job in very little time, and leaves the cases cleaner than anything I tried with my dry tumbler.
One of the nicest parts of ceramic and a wet tumbler is the media never needs replacing! Just dump it into a bucket and shoot some dish soap in and slosh it around to clean it. Then back in the tumbler for future use.

I changed to ss pins and wet tumbling several years ago and the only thing I use my dry media tumbler for any more is cleaning case lube off sized brass or tumble coating cast bullets with air soft BB's and powder coating powder.  You can't beat the clean you get wet tumbling with ss pins or ceramic chips.
