Looking for accuracy loads, have many molds, thinking about starting with 200gr.  Suggestions?

30 gr. OE 3F, 180gr. LBT LN plain base, .360", 10bhn, no wad, compressed the powder with the bullet when seating it. O.L. set into the throat as far as it will go. Any SP primer. Loaded on my Dillon 550b just like any pistol ammo would be done.

T.C. carbine (ie my "new mondernized" Maynard). With iron sights it shoots 2MOA. I've used it to win the BP trail walk match several times. Various sized targets are out to 240 yds. Oxygen tanks at 125 yds. are the smallest sized targets. Then we have 1/2 sized wolves at 100 -150yds, rock chucks, bob cats, etc.  Tongue

THANKS!   I'm narrowing in on the 358430 (195gr rn, pb) sized to 358.  Looking a 4227 from the odd bits and pieces that I can find on the web.  Not much published for rifles.

If you are looking at using smokeless you might want to consider the RCBS 357-180-SIL.

Thanks, I'll look into it.  Tried 15-16-17-18 gr of 4227 behind the 358430 (195gr).  15 was the best group so I'll try lower charges tomorrow.  (And a good scope that adjusts too)

I'm not home right now but I have data for 160 (358311) and 208 gr bullets (35875 and 358315). I shoot mine, mostly BSed but have fixed data too.

14 gr 4227 would be a good place to start BSed, 13 gr fixed. With pb bullets.
