Have an opportunity on a 25 schuetzen SS rifle, E Brown action. Anyone familiar with this cartridge and had success with it? Know of anyone that makes dies for this or has dies for sale? Thanks for any info.

I've played with it. I made my own form, neck-size and seater dies. It's a nifty looking little thing for sure, like a tiny 40-65. I was using it fixed in a little weak rifle with mild loads, it probably has more to offer breech seated at higher pressures. A 25-20 Winchester reamer would clear out the Schuetzen chamber entirely and put you in a better position for dies, etc if you like everything about the deal but the cartridge.

I once owned a 33RKS Schuetzen along with the reamer as well. It was pretty much just the 357 Max. case straight tapered to 33.

I had a 25 Schuetzen, shot really well but brass was weak. Itís made from 32 H&R magnum brass. Rechambered mine to 25-20 WRA still shoots very well. Since then they came out with I believe itís the 204 or 207 that is the same case but heavier and longer. I would have stayed with the Schuetzen if the new brass was heavy enough to take the pressures. Dies were made from chamber reamer and piece of barrel. Er Sigmon barreled the Rifle originally.

Nowadays, that 25 Schuetzen could be made from
the much stronger(they say)  327 Federal brass.
