44-1/2 Steven's rifle

I came across a 44-1/2 with a very early number, is is marked 700. This rifle was at one time a 22lr, but has been lined to a 22 Hornet  by C. C. Johnson, at some time in the past. I would like to know about what year this rifle was made? also I read one time on the Forum that his son or grandson had a list of the rifle that he worked on? any contack info? Thanks for any help. I am pretty sure it is his grandson and he used to get on here from time to time to answer questions similar to your own.

Bonner,
His grandson is j_c_johnson and he does frequent the forum still, as recent as last week I believe I saw something from him.
