Not only is Mike a Schuetzenmeister, a single shot collector and competitor, he is also a hunter. Here is Mike with a 400 pound bear he took with his .58 caliber flintlock.

If a waffle falls over on a breakfast table and no one is there to hear it, did the waffle make a sound?

Mike has a great collection of old antique muzzleloaders and it must be a dilemma for him to choose which one to go hunting with.
The question now is does he use bear grease in his lube?

Congratulations Mike! I’d love to hear details? Having bear hunted for the last week and a half, I know what an accomplishment this is! Thats a beautiful bear. I had (2) in that class coming in and a couple “teen agers”. They all went nocturnal after the hounds started.

Mike told me he dropped where he was standing with two broken shoulders. Mike shoots flintocks a lot.

Said he had the tenderloins for dinner and that they tasted good but were tough. He said the bear was to long in the tooth to be good table fare.
